The Reelfoot Lake area is very blessed with an abundance of state and federal wildlife refuges. The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency (TWRA) and the US Fish and Wildlife Service are the two agengies that are primarily responsible for managing the wildlife management areas around the lake.
