7th Annual West Tennessee Youth Outdoor Jamboree Annouced

The 7th Annual West Tennessee Youth Outdoor Jamboree will be held on September 18th in Kenton, TN. The location for this years jamboree will once again be the old school located on Hwy. 89 W., one block off of U.S. Hwy. 45 W. Registration for the jamboree starts at 7:00 a.m. and the programs will begin at 8:00 a.m.
Sponsors for this year's West Tennessee Youth Outdoor Jamboree will include the National Wild Turkey Federation (NWTF), Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency (TWRA), Tennessee Conservation League (TCL) and numerous local businesses in the Northwest Tennessee area.
Events for this year's jamboree will include youth oriented workshops on deer, duck, quail, turkey, small game and fishing. Other activities at the jamboree will be a B.A.S.S. Kids Casting Contest, kids duck-goose-turkey calling contests, historical displays, dog training demonstrations, wildlife trapping demonstrations, archery range and gun range. Over 80 vendors will be present and have their outdoor products for sell at a discount. Free food and soft drinks will be served and at the end of the day, thousands of dollars worth of door prizes will be given away.
Last year over 2500 kids and their parents enjoyed the jamboree, which has been tabbed as the "largest free outdoor event for kids in the world."
